The Power of Inner Peace (And Everyday Ways to Achieve It)

In today’s increasingly frantic and fast-paced world, it’s getting harder to turn the volume down. It’s great to be connected with the people who are close to us (especially for a socially anxious introvert like me!). I love being able to see the latest news from all over the world via a few dabs at a touchscreen but when I’m anxious or sad I’ve learned that I have to create boundaries. February Self-Care Calendar

This morning I was trying to think of what image I wanted to create for social media. I thought, why not create a self-care challenge/calendar? There are six days until the New Year, till the end of the decade – so we’re in this weird in between place. I don’t know about you, but I am exhausted. If I had to give this holiday stars, it would be 2/5. I just wasn’t feeling the holiday season and I will shamelessly admit that I’m glad it’s over. Working in retail. Missing loved ones. Coping with your mental illness. Running out of spoons. Disappointment over your experience. We all have our reasons to recover. Here are some ideas for your holiday recovery plan. Bundle up and take a slow walk. Breathe deep. Notice your surroundings and the sounds. Release the tension in your shoulders. Enjoy the moment. Enjoy the gifts in your life – whether they’re…
