What Does Self-Care Look Like?

Aah, self-care, my favorite topic! Whether you’re a newbie to loving and taking care of yourself or you’ve been the queen of self-care for a while, taking the first step on this journey can be a difficult one. ‘What does self-care look like?’ you cry, and fair enough. This isn’t always an easy question to answer; if it was, we’d all be out there going from 0 to loving the hell out of ourselves after a half hour yoga session. Alas, building up a positive relationship with yourself is a little bit harder than that, but here’s how you can get started. Having boundaries Boundaries, boundaries, boundaries. My Self-Care Circle

Day five of NaBloPoMo, which means that it’s my goal to write one blog post every day this month and today we’re going to talk about my self-care circle. When I was talking about my self-care goals for the week, I said that one of my goals was to get good sleep on my days off without feeling guilty and I am happy to report back that not only did I go to sleep early, but I also slept until I woke up naturally. #SelfCareWin Self-Care isn’t always a linear journey. There will be times when you’re doing so good at taking care of yourself that you don’t even put any effort into it and other days when you’re so busy or stressed or distracted that it unintentionally gets pushed to the wayside. This week, I’m choosing intention. Intentionally focusing on self-care every day. So let’s talk about what self-care looks…
