Self-Care for Kids

Hello, my lovely readers! Today I have a great guest post from the people at Jumo Health who are all about providing age-appropriate mental health, health, and self-care resources for kids. If you’ve purchased my anxiety workbook, Breathe. then you’re familiar with my story of childhood anxiety. My childhood was rough. That had less to do with outside influences and more to do with what was in my head. I didn’t understand what anxiety or depression was. There was no concrete reason I could point to and say: “This is it, this is what bothers me.” It was everything. I always had this fear of failing. Of getting detention. Bullies. Getting bad grades. I’ll admit that I shook my head with disbelief. Clearly, these wise souls didn’t understand my life. I was a mom, with little kids. First of all, I needed all the sleep I could get, waking up an hour earlier to make time for a morning practice, just wasn’t going to happen. Secondly, my children were unpredictable. Whenever I thought I might begin my day by writing or exercising, someone would inevitably wake up early, throwing my plans…

Self Care for Mamas is Here!

A Note: Blessing Manifesting is about self care for women and so many women are also mothers and that creates additional challenges in taking care of you and making time for yourself. I am not a mama and I’ve always felt like there’s a piece missing here on the blog because that’s a BIG PART of so many of your lives. So I asked for help and I found the perfect mum to share her stories with all of you, so please welcome Becky (and her lovely family!) as our regular contributor! Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a mother.  I was beyond excited when my husband and I found out we were expecting our first child. In all honesty, I had no idea what to expect, but then, I don’t think you can truly understand what it’s like to be a mom until you’re…
