Self-Love Spell Bottle

I’ve been filling out the pages from my Witch Life: Self-Love Planner (I’m a few weeks late filling it out!) and in the section for February under “What do you want to achieve in your practice this month?” my answer was practice. I’m committed to doing something witchy, spiritual, magical, or mystical every day for the rest of the month. The beginning of this month was really hard for me and part of my coping is to go within and try to open those parts of myself that feel so incredibly closed up right now. That’s where my spirituality comes in. It’s always been the warm blanket I wrap myself in. I’ve committed to doing seven days of magic, and if you’re interested, maybe I’ll make a little e-course about them. The first day was about getting back down to my foundation. Literally. Bare feet on the earth. Hands on the earth.…

Connecting with Aphrodite: Goddess of Self-Love

Aphrodite is one of my favorite Goddesses and aside from Hestia, she’s one that I’ve connected with the longest. Almost 15 years. I’m quite a bit witchy and I’ve always been into learning about, and honoring, many different Goddesses. She freely embraced her sexuality. I first loved her because I was enchanted with her persona. This lovely Goddess who was full of confidence and was so beautiful with so many gods (and mortals) in love with her. Those were things that…

Descending With Persephone: Journey to the Dark Goddess

This post has been swirling in my head for over a month. I’ve talked about my spirituality before. It’s very goddess-based, pagan-y, with a dash of zen. As far as God goes, I believe God is a big ball of cosmic energy that takes on personas in a way that we mere humans can best connect to and relate to them. I was obsessed with Greek mythology as a child so that is the form that God usually takes for me. There have been a handful of Gods and Goddesses that have come into my life to teach me different lessons through the years. Hestia was my first Goddess and she taught me the importance of finding home and comfort within myself and surroundings. My anxiety used to be so bad that it bordered on agoraphobia at times. Hestia taught me how to create a safe space around myself so…

Summer Solstice Self-Care +Free Backgrounds

If you fall anywhere on the scale of nature-loving-pagan then you know that tomorrow is the Summer Solstice, one of the solar holidays, which means it marks the beginning of a certain season. Well, hello there Summer. The Summer Solstice, also called Litha, is when the Sun is at the peak of its power. The days are longer and it’s shining hot and bright in the sky. Soak in that warmth (but use sunscreen). It’s also when the Faery Folk come out to play. Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, anyone? It’s a day of light and is the perfect time for picnics and flower crowns and sunshine and laughter.Summer Solstice Self-CareI’m going to spend the day tending to my proverbial hearth, my home, my safe place and practicing some heavy self-care. I’m feeling some internal blocks when it comes to my happiness and embracing my own power. Gotta do the work…
